Corporate suck-ups in politics inhabit both parties, and the sooner we get rid of them in favor of progressive, socialist democrats, the better off all Americans will be. We must vote blue this Nov. to get rid of all the fascist republicans, and any Democratic corporate suck-ups who remain, we can get rid of in the next midterm. Those people must learn to represent what WE want, and not for the corporations whose money dictates how they legislate.
How do Hong and El-Sayyed fare against their likely Republican opponents?
I'm all for Democrats experimenting with any and all kinds of campaigns, policy, messaging, etc. I genuinely hope these two win general elections, but if they lose, will the leftish wing of Democrats take any lessons from that? I do hope they haven't already prepared "it's the Democratic establishment's fault!" press releases.
Given the past 10 years of polls I have seen, I wonder if in the Midwest the problem is not ideology but having a person of color or a woman, given how well Bernie Sanders always polled
Best wishes on your surgery- we need you. I hope and pray that both of the left candidates can win the general election. The establishment candidate in Michigan was way too right wing for a Democrat, small wonder she will lose. Hopefully, Democrats will push for universal vote by mail and for combining the local elections with the even year midterm elections. These 2 reforms will boost voter turnout, save millions of tax dollars needed to make up for Trump's cuts , and will result in more women and More Minorities being elected to local offices!!! Hong needs to dump the defund the police nonsense and push for free breakfasts and free lunches for school children, along with free Pre-K education.
