I had to move from Seattle to Spokane for various reasons. Was really nervous about leaving my comfort zone but come to find out the 'townies' are fed up with the 'lefties' moving in and are headin for the hills - mainly Idaho. There are great pockets of activism in Spokane - so we're progressing. P.S. Grew up in Florida when it was solid blue. If you can imagine. Who knows. Lots can happen in a transformative atmosphere.
New York didn't reject an establishment politician. We rejected a corrupt bully. Mamdani got barely over 50% of the vote (mine included) but let's not pretend it's an overwhelming victory.
Cuomo is both a corrupt bully and the definition of establishment politician. Mamdani got 50% of the vote (including mine) in a three-way race, with tens of millions of dollars spent on slandering him. His main rival was another Democrat. I think it’s fair to say it was a decisive and even commanding win, given the context!
