For once in a long time, this feels like meaningful momentum toward actually-long-term thinking (rather than just the next fiscal quarter) returning to D.C.

Progressives are ascending: They are supporting workers, not rich corporations. It's time Blue Dog Dems take the hint!

Defend Unions, mothers, healthcare, prison reform, immigration reform, voting rights...

While Republicans bemoan the sinking birth levels, they do nothing to help mothers, and that's a pity:

If you want a higher birthrate, then make the laws that will support mothers: Medicare for all, early childhood Education, Public Education, and in general, every law that protect the institutions that Republicans deem "Socialist":

Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, the National Institute of Health, all the other Government funded Medical research programs that subsidize the development of almost every major medicine.

They call "socialist" any program/ Institution where people pool their money to improve the lives of We The People.

That includes an awful lot of things that we all pay for: Roads, Water systems, Parks, Public libraries, public swimming pools; All the things that make living in this country more pleasant.

Democrat Socialists are no 'commies'. There is a place for Capitalism, private ownership etc. but these things must play by the rules and not run roughshod over "We The People".
