There needs to be a better understanding of what gender dysmorphia is and is not.
Among all the children who are born each year, there is an enormous variety.
As adults, we may have known different sex partners, so we know there are big differences even in the appearance of their sexual parts: some men have a penis that is fairly long and slender, others have one that is more "stubby", but perhaps wider.
Similarly, some women will have naturally large breasts while others are more like "fried eggs". That is a first type of difference that should put people on the right track of mind:
There isn't much we can do about our physical appearance. Breast enlargement, butt enlargement, or reductions all fall in the same category: Sexual enhancement, and yes, they are "sex affirmation" surgeries, so let's tread lightly when we talk about those folks, and let's develop a bit of Christian compassion, if nothing else.
And then you have hermaphrodites. Look it up. It exists: Folks who have either the markers of both sexes or the markers of neither. They were born that way, and there is nothing much they can do about it, except "gender affirmation surgery". Joan of Arc, notably, never had her period, but "looked" like a woman, (fine features, no beard, android look) and the English soldiers who took her could never "rape" her: Her vagina was just too narrow to allow anything in. Yet she was one of the fiercest warriors France had ever seen.
Can we develop an ounce of compassion for folks who really fall out of either mold?
Can't we understand, at least on a logical, intellectual level, that they might feel confused about who they are? Not to call them "hermaphrodites", we now call them "intersex people".
They exist. They have a right to live, and we should make a place for them in society. For all we know, they might help us better understand ourselves and each other. Why ostracize them over a particularity they have no control over, like the color of our eyes? Usually, it is fear. OUR fear over things we just don't understand.
Really, Steven? These folks are already ostracized and will have extreme difficulty finding a mate in life.
I have never heard of one who was sexually aggressive and might want to 'rape' anyone. trans, or intersexed people are quite rare in the first place.
"Castration" is normally performed on a man who has a penis and testes.
What 'punishment' would be suitable for a man who doesn't have testes? For a woman?
The fear of "men stating that they are women" so they can get in a woman's locker is grossly overstated. Men who get in women's lockers are never welcomed, and they usually have not only the equipment but a normal male drive to do what you are afraid of.
As a woman, I have never been afraid of being aggressed by a transexual or even a gay man. Only so called "real men" (a la Pete Hegseth) have the ability and the drive to rape a woman.

Please think, Steven.
