'I want a refund on my political donations to the campaign.' is the message I was going to fire off to them. It seems much like betting at the track, in politics sometimes you win big and other times you get blindsided. Thank you for putting perspective on this mind-numbing event.
I appreciate you reading the piece and the perspective you’ve taken. Your metaphor is an apt one — you can do all your scouting and research but sometimes things just go awry. For what it’s worth, I think this was a real moment of weakness more than a reveal of her true character, but politics is ultimately about big decisions and this one was a very disappointing one to say the least. If nothing else, it’s another reason to build movements that make it hard for politicians to waver and hold them accountable if they do. Thank you again for being so thoughtful about this.

...which is why a Constitutional Amendment to allow a U.S. Senator to be recalled should be on every progressives' bucket list of reforms.
I kind of understand where she’s coming from, but it’s Cuomo for god’s sake. But, I think this has more to do with the collapse of WFP than anything else.
Gotta say I was taken aback when I read about Ramos teaming up with Cuomo. It's disappointing to see how many people will sacrifice their values for a little influence. I don't live in NYC but I did send her a campaign contribution. Guess it should've gone to Zohran.
