Good luck Jordan. My Mom, who died at 90, was diagnosed with a congenitally ectatic (aneurysmal) aorta and underwent 6 major surgeries including the final one where she had a ruptured pseudoaneurysm and bled out her entire blood volume. She lived many years after to see her grandchildren. She was a pistol! KEEP FIGHTING! Sending karma your way (sorry, I'm not religious)
Honestly that’s incredibly encouraging to hear, as I really worry about the pseudoaneurysm rupturing before or during surgery. Would love to live to 90! Sounds like your mom was a real fighter. I’ll try to use it as inspiration.

I’m very sorry this has been a norm for you for so long. It’s no small matter. I will be sending prayers your way for you and your family and look forward to the day you clear the surgery and further rehab and can get this is in the rear view mirror. And while I’m writing, thank you for your wonderful communication skills which you have shared with us and used to keep us aware of important issues. Honestly the meaning of this part of Psalm 42 is a bit unclear to me but tonight I take it as a description of what it is that animates a journalist in times like these, & how God is with him (& thank you for responding to the times!):
