Honestly the meaning of this part of Psalm 42 is a bit unclear to me but tonight I take it as a description of what it is that animates a journalist in times like these, & how God is with him (& thank you for responding to the times!):

Sorry to hear Jordan! Being a Canadian, your stories make me think about the many who aren't covered and the cruelty of Trump and Musk! They will come to hate these words,
I hope this one finally does the trick and I hope for a peedy recovery. Take care of your health, your voice is needed but take care of yourself first I'm sure that the fight will be right here waiting for you and so shall all your readers.
I was an MRI tech for over 20 years. I know how hard waiting for results and hoping for the best news can be. My late husband had a quad bypass at 60 and was luckily in good physical shape, besides clogged cardiac arteries, and recovered quickly. I hope your surgery goes smoothly, you bounce back easily and this will be the last surgery you will need.
I'm sure there are a lot of people facing what, for you, is a known entity, but for them a frightening diagnosis. I think chronicling your personal experiences would be a welcome insight for them. A first person account carries more weight and comfort than encyclopedic detail in a physician hand out. Good luck with your surgery. Be well.
