I'll keep saying it: we have an unprecedented opportunity to remake, not only our party (which nearly all of us agree is critical!), but to make some much-needed changes to the laws and the Constitution (yes, I said it, but don't string me up yet!), some amendments we have needed for the best part of a CENTURY.
By mid-summer, as near as I can see, we'll be in the throes of an economic crisis that even the young, media-obsessed people just coming to voting age won't be able to miss.
When this happens, it will no longer be possible for any but the most delusional cultists to pass tRump off as a "president." He isn't. He's a thief and an agent of chaos.
But as my husband (who does change management for non-profits like school districts and local governments), reminded me, change REQUIRES chaos. We have to attempt to manage it so as to mitigate the damage (although the damage is precisely what will force people to wake up).
Several extraordinary leaders are emerging from the initial chaos, and more will come. We find out what the majority TRULY believes, and I will almost guarantee, it's NOT the bullshit that the 🍊💩 is trying to foist on us.
It's scary as hell, but something else my husband said really resonates: tRump COULD have just coasted and played golf, done the bare minimum, stayed out of the news, for 4 years, and we'd come out of this considerably worse than now, with the country STILL ASLEEP. That can't happen now, bc even if he tries to go back and reset, a huge amount of damage is done.
We're changing, we're in crisis, no matter what we want, and we CAN'T ignore or resist that.
Embrace it and direct it, cuz sisters, we're IN IT.
I hope so, and soon and that this year and next year the GQP, MAGAts and the tankies and purity idiots lose everything and that Dems and pragmatic leftists gain everything and we fix and improve everything and stop this mess from happening again.
