The primaries are coming, and with them the opportunity to vote out the incumbent candidates who say they favor taxing the rich and then cave when in office. This is a message to the Democratic politicians mentioned in this post. If they've told us they'd act to tax the rich, and then did not act on it, get rid of them. Don't reward them with another election victory and a "guaranteed salary with great benefits" that they don't deserve!

This is the best argument for a California secession, tax increases like this should be done at the national level, it's too easy for rich people to move. A long time ago I read an analysis on a similar tax increase under gov Brown that lead to a DECREASE in state revenues precisely because rich people moving out more than offset the increase from the ones that stayed.

Contact the Governor | Governor of California https://share.google/GBgRtoz6bDzmVbOBS everyone should contact Gavin Newsome and let him know if he has aspirations of being president in 2028 he should get on the right side of this wealth tax, Remember public pressure works

Must have been so frustrating to see those budget shortfalls knowing that they could have easily been filled (and likely turned into surpluses) had the wealthy paid anywhere near their fair share. Seeing it from the inside sounds radicalizing.
