I think, when you said, "there is no calvary coming to save us", you probably meant "cavalry", not "Calvary" (the hill on which Jesus was crucified), although it's certainly not coming to save us, either.

« Abundance “ is just the Orwellian new term for neoliberalism. They think we’re stupid.

Donated. Let's make this big & make it happen! Big $$$ is all over the other side of democracy, but we have the power of more "thinking people". We need this news ~ real news & views! Even $5-$10 x a whole lot of of people ADDS UP! We CAN DO that to turn this "fascist clown car regime" around!!!

When that sh*t turns around, we will have Rights, Freedom & more equality, better pay... ONLY WE WILL SAVE US & IT WILL FEEL GREAT TO SHOW THE Greedy Old Pigs (GOP) that "real people stand up & it does matter!!"

funny the other day I thought exactly about the parallel between Tea Party 2010 and what will (hopefully) hit Democrats in the face in 2026.

The one thing I disagree is pitting the pro-housing pro-urban people vs progressives, when the former not only try to address fundamental issues of housing availability, environment and general life conditions (if you have to commute 3 hours a day, you basically have no life) but also attack one of the most egregious forms of elitism and racism (single family zoning and such), that is defended by people who, might not have Trump's level of wealth, but are still better-off than most.

I don’t think the Abundance stuff is illegitimate, I just see it as a slice of what must be a much larger systemic fix. Power has to to be taken from the dominant figures in society today for anything to really change. Fixing zoning will help certain issues, but it’s not a *political* movement, if that makes sense!

... More of a "repair what's broken" situation... Zoning & multi-family housing, such as tri-plex, duplex, & quads. That housing, w/tiny yards &/or garage, blends in nicely with Single Family Homes. There's less turnover than say, apt complex & often are small family homes. 🥹
